Three sisters got married at the same time and decided to have their honeymoons on the same night at their mother's house. When they all went to bed, the mother was walking by the bedrooms on the way to the bathroom.


As she was walking by the first room, she heard one of her daughters scream. She thought that was very odd, but proceeded to walk down the hall past the second room.


From there, she heard her other daughter cry. She was again puzzled by this, but did not want to interfere with her daughters' personal lives.


She was almost at the bathroom, and she walked past the last bedroom. Strangely enough, the mother heard nothing.


The next morning when the husbands left to get breakfast, she asked her daughters about their night. Why did I hear screaming from your room last night? the mother asked the first daughter.


Well mother, you told me that if anything scared me, I should scream, she replied.


The mother thought that to be a reasonable answer and then questioned the second daughter.


Why did I hear crying from your room? she asked her.


Well mother, you told me that if anything hurt me, I should cry, was the answer. Again, that made sense to the mother.


Why did I hear nothing from your room last night? she asked her third daughter.


Well mother, you told me never to speak with my mouth full.
